My work is created biologically, loosely structured and discontinuously. It shows the young students of my age in the consumer society, who don’t have much living pressure, but have metal emptiness, and rest their emotion on entertainment. They were not cultivated politically and never discussed social issues; their parents also taught them not to stir up trouble. Therefore, they grow indifferent to the society and don’t care about social issues. The flame in the pictures represents the events occurring in the society. However, some people always see it burning indifferently, while they are overjoyed with the concert. It also reflects my inner heart. My excitement and enthusiasm are often dampened by the cold-minded onlookers who are like a basin of cold water. The young people seem extraordinarily cold-minded and realistic when I am enthusiastic to do something hard and unpractical. They seem to focus on the ordinary life and bypass new things and those beyond ordinary life. Without similar-minded friends around me, I often feel some mental loneliness. On the contrary, I feel excited from the deafening music, which is hard to feel at day. The burning flame, sending off its light and heat alone, trying to attract or seek for some similar-minded people from the indifferent eyes of the mass, seems somewhat lonely.
